The Codex Wars is now live on RoyalRoad and Patreon!

Good afternoon and happy New Year to my readers! What better way to kick off the New Year than with a new story set in a new (to me) genre, The Codex Wars?

Serializing on RoyalRoad and Patreon, The Codex Wars features young Aaron Thorn and his Codex Beast partner, Nimbus, as he embarks on a perilous quest to end the Codex Wars.

The twist?

The Codex Wars ended 500 years ago … or so it was thought. The reality is that the Codex Wars never truly ended, only went underground, and now pose a direct threat to the Arcane Codex–the sentient, magical library that underscores the entire magic system of the world–unless Aaron truly ends them.

The first ten chapters of the first book, Codex Quest, are free to read on RoyalRoad, while the first 30 chapters (and more!) are available as advance chapters on my Patreon (including audio chapters for those who prefer to listen rather than read their content!). The Codex Wars will come as a regular ebook and audiobook later, but for now it will be available on RoyalRoad and Patreon as a serial.

This isn’t the only exciting news I have for 2026, however. Later this month, I’ll do another post talking about all of my other epic plans for the new year, so keep an eye out for that.
