Twenty-five-year-old Dean Hernandez, researching a cure for the deadly Hernandez's Disease, must rescue the genetically-modified supermice from the mad scientist Hybrid before he uses them for his evil plans.

In the first Ashley Jason book, sixteen-year-old superhero-in-training Ashley 'Crafter' Jason has to juggle going to a new school, finding a cure for the genetic disease slowly killing her, and protecting herself from a villain who holds a grudge against her and her dad.

In the second Ashley Jason book, Ashley must deal with becoming the Champion of her Team in the Academy's new competition and survive the Guardians of Humanity, an anti-super terrorist group who want to destroy the school.

In the third Ashley Jason book, Ashley spends her third year of schooling in the superhuman nation of Superbia, where she finds herself drawn into a rebellion against the seemingly benign Dragon King who rules the island with an iron fist in a silk glove.

In the final Ashley Jason book, Ashley has to deal with Parasite, Overkill, and Dragon King as well as her own body, which is in danger of dying unless she undergoes a surgery to remove her powers for good.
