Contest Results — We Have a Winner!

The Official Lucas Flint Short Story Contest 2025 has wrapped—thank you to everyone who entered! I’m thrilled to announce:
🏆 Winner: Winston Crutchfield, Wannabe Villain
- Chosen for its great voice, humor, and creativity while still being faithful to canon
- The story will be published on my site, newsletter, and YouTube tomorrow, Wednesday, October 1st.
🎖 Honorable Mentions:
- Joseph ‘TienSwitch’ Safdia — Hole in Herald City (2nd; fun multivere story featuring one of my personal favorite villains)
- Michael Ethan Armstrong — The Young Neos: Next Generation (3rd place; good setup for a larger story)
NOTE: Honorable Mentions are not canon. They are simply entries I chose to highlight because of their general quality or because I enjoyed them for one reason or another.
This was the first year for the contest, and I learned a lot. Thanks for the support and the fantastic entries—can’t wait to do it again in 2026!
I also hope you enjoy Wannabe Villain when I post it tomorrow. Trust me, once you read it, you’ll see why I liked it.
